Bio
Balduini trained in Argentina and Italy and developed a practice centered on wood engraving and carving. His work around the First World War and its aftermath included social and rural subjects. The signed domestic woodcut accompanying Bonaccorsi’s Rosso e Nero documents his contribution to L’Ordine Nuovo in June 1919. By 1922 he settled at Sommocolonia near Barga, where rural life continued to supply subjects for his work.
