- Bio
- Hamon wrote on social and political questions and worked as a critic and translator. With his wife Henriette he translated works by Bernard Shaw, linking French and English-language intellectual life. His study of the British labor movement is the expressly credited source for L’Ordine Nuovo’s September 1919 account of workers’ councils and shop stewards. He later joined the French Communist Party at the Liberation.
