Bio
Bucco joined the Socialist Party in 1905 and became an organizer and propagandist in the Ferrara area, serving as secretary of the Cento Chamber of Labor from 1912. After wartime military service he returned to socialist organizing and was elected a deputy in 1919. In January 1920 he became secretary of the Bologna Chamber of Labor and promoted debate on workers’ councils. His February manifesto connected councils, technical preparation for management, cooperatives and proletarian education. He lost his Bologna leadership position after the fascist attack of November 1920 and later emigrated to France.

Other Notes
Some accounts report death at Dachau in 1944; Forti’s later research gives Florence,1964, and Foot explicitly notes this correction. The earlier death claim is not adopted. No elected factory-council office established.
