Bio
Writing under the name Henry-Jacques, Henri Edmond Jacques worked in journalism before the First World War. His wartime experience, including a severe wound in 1916, informed Nous de la guerre, recognized with a poetry prize in 1919. He appears as Henri Jacques among the signatories of the Clarté anti-intervention appeal reproduced by L’Ordine Nuovo. His later writing also drew on his experiences at sea.
