Bio: Gatto-Roissard brought professional military experience to socialist debates after the First World War. Writing as Anando, he contested Caesar’s argument about the offensive purpose of a socialist army in L’Ordine Nuovo in 1919. Rochat identifies him as a longstanding socialist who was then close to Serrati. In 1922 he followed the reformists and subsequently contributed military commentary to La Giustizia.
